It can help you develop your own positive character traits and learn how to identify those traits in a potential partner with guidance from experts and religious sources. Many people receive little direction on how to identify the most meaningful character traits. People often focus on finding someone smart, funny, and attractive. While these are desirable, they are not enough to sustain a relationship. Honesty, compassion, courage, patience, and respect are also important to long-term success. The more positive character traits you have, the more likely you can see those traits in others.
