East A is a comedy that reinforces Bahá’í principles by demonstrating how it is best to avoid bullying and gossip. Olive feels anonymous in her high school. That changes when she tells a lie about losing her virginity to impress some friends. Someone hears the lie and starts spreading it around the school. At first, Olive enjoys the attention and increased popularity for being a “bad girl”. She decides to help a bullied friend by telling another lie about a sexual experience. However, things start to spiral out of control, and her popularity turns to shame as the rumors become more exaggerated. Now Olive must try to set things right. She tried use gossip to her advantage, but it made things worse.
